  3. Archaeology Day

    July 23, 2022, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Historic Halfway Homestead

Do you dig archaeology? Ever wonder how archaeologists learn about the past? Now is your chance to dig in the dirt during this interactive family event at Windsor’s special historic site, the Halfway Homestead. Once an 1873 stagecoach stop, the grounds of the site are full of stories waiting to be discovered. Roll up your sleeves and try your hand at community archaeology as we excavate the foundations of a former granary, talk with real archaeologists, and more! This event is accessible for everyone and free for all! No need to register, just stop by between 10 a.m. and noon.
