Veterans Day Facility Hours Announced, Free Rec Center Admission Offered to Veterans

In observance of Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, Windsor’s Community Recreation Center will remain open to the public and is offering free admission for veterans and a guest with proof of military service. All Town of Windsor administrative offices will be closed. 

In recognition of the holiday, veterans and a guest will receive free admission to the Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th Street. The recreation center will operate under the normal hours of 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The 85,000 square foot fitness facility features two gymnasiums, multiple fitness rooms, an indoor aquatic facility, an indoor walking track, and a variety of other state-of-the-art amenities.  For more information about the Community Recreation Center, visit recreationliveshere.com/CRC.  

Administrative offices closed on Friday include Town Hall, 301 Walnut St., Public Services, 922 N. 15th St., and the Police Department, 200 N. 11th St.  Although Police Department administrative offices are closed, officers remain on duty. The Police Department can be reached on the non-emergency line at 970-674-6400 and residents can dial 911 for emergencies.
