Town of Windsor History Museum Opens Memorial Day Weekend

Windsor, CO — The Town of Windsor History Museum,100 N 5th St., opens for the summer season on Friday, May 27. The museum features historic buildings from around Windsor built between 1882 and the 1920s. Each building tells the story of Windsor’s community from the completion of the Greeley, Salt Lake, and Pacific Railroad through the sugar beet boom of the early 20th century. The museum will be open Fridays noon to 4 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays noon to 4 p.m., and admission is free. 

The site is also host to several events and camps. Upcoming events include:

•    Little Tea Party on the Prairie on Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to noon 

•    Archaeology Day on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to noon

•    Stewardship Saturday on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to noon.  

Additionally, parents will want to check out the following summer youth camps including: Windsor Wild for ages 6 to 12, Time Travelers for ages 7 to12, Earth Adventure for ages 6 to 12 years, Miniatures and Design for ages 6 to 12 years, Nature as Inspiration Camp for ages 7 to 11 years, and Pollinator Camp for ages 7 to 12 years.
