This May, Mayor Paul Rennemeyer is partnering with town staff to host Windsor Water Conservation Month to promote awareness about ways residents can be waterwise every day. Residents are encouraged to pick up a free home water conservation kit during the Coffee with the Mayor and Pints with Paul events. Coffee with the Mayor is scheduled for  Friday, May 13, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Community Recreation Center, 250 N 11th St. Pints with Paul is on Wednesday, May 11, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the 408 Exchange Tavern, 408 Main St.

“Windsor is dedicated to preparing for a water-secure future, and it’s our duty to encourage our community to do what they can to be more mindful about their water use,” said Mayor Rennemeyer.

In addition to the water conservation themed mayoral events, residents are encouraged to participate at home by completing a conservation bingo card. Kid and adult bingo cards can be printed out at home by visiting or by picking one up in person at the Town Hall, 301 Walnut Street, or CRC front desk during regular business hours. Residents can send a picture of the completed cards to [email protected] along with their name, phone number and home address to be entered to win a free stainless steel water bottle or home irrigation smart controller, installed free-of-charge by the Town of Windsor water conservation technician. Residents must be a Windsor Water customer to qualify. Additionally, completed kids cards can be brought to Town Hall or the CRC for a small participation prize, while supplies last. Cards must be submitted by Wednesday, June 1 to be eligible for prizes.
